gecko or anole ??? you learn something new all the time!

These little guys are all over the place down here ~ I always thought they were geckos. No way!! The proper name is anole ~ closely related to iguanas. The variety most common is the Cuban brown anole, a species that came from Cuba. Cuba is quite close to our neck of the woods, esp. as the crow flies.
Geckos have have way cooler colors and designs. Their feet look like they have suction cups on the fingers and toes.
