– The parade will move North along No-name street, turn east at 1E and then go south (towards the Birds) – There will be performances, (Island Brass, Zydeco, The Kazoo Band) at the corner of 1E and Main Street and at Main Street and 3E/3W.  If     you have a performance, let the Prade Marshall know when you check in.- Our EMCee, Steve Rieth will introduce the Parade participants at corner of 3E and Main Street.- Music will be provided by our well known and popular,  DJ, Rusty Roepke. – Catering is by Sanibel Catering, (Bailey’s) – Debbie Ainsworth will be taking a video of the Parade and Dick Barron will be photographing.

Next Years’ Parade and Party will be Tuesday February 25, 2020. Bring flags from your state, town school, team etc.

A REMINDER…THE 2019 PERIWINKLE PARK MARDI GRAS WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MARCH 5TH.  THE PARADE WILL START AT 4:00 PM AT THE CORNER OF NO NAME AND FIRST STREET AND WILL CARRY ON ALONG FIRST STREET TO MAIN STREET TO THE BIRDS AREA.  PERFORMANCES WILL BE AT FIRST STREE AND MAIN STREET AND AT 3RD AND MAIN.  JOIN US EITHER IN THE PARADE OR ALONG  THE ROUTE.  

FOLLOWING THE PARADE, THE MUENCH FANILY IS THROWING A MARDI GRAS PARTY IN THE FORTY-NINERS.  FOOD AND DRINKS WILL BE SERVED AT 5;00 PM.  THE CROWNING OF OUR NEW KING & QUEEN, CHARLIE AND JULIE LASATA WILL TAKE PLACE AROUND SIX AND DANCING AND MUSIC WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE EVENING.

Santa is coming to a Periwinkle Park! By Tractor!Be sure to look out for him about 6:00, as he visits Periwinkle Park! In addition, there is a Kris Kringle Mingle party in the screen room from 5-8:00. Bring a snack to share and mingle with friends and family. Santa might be back after the parade in his beach clothes! All campers, residents and staff are welcome!


There is only one Santa in Periwinkle Park and he rides in a tractor!!! HO HO HO!

Hi to All!

 Please be aware that recycle items need to be loose in the recycle bins.  Dick has confirmed that any bags of recycles are pulled out at the recycle plant and sent to the trash.
Here are the 5 things to remember:
Paper: No soiled, shredded, metallic or waxed
Metal: Only aluminum or steel cans, aluminum foil or disposable foil pans
Cardboard: Any kind of box that doesn’t have a waxed coating
Plastic: Containers labeled #1 to #7 – no bags , no Styrofoam
Glass: bottles and jars that are clear, green or brown.
Anything else in the recycles makes for an expensive disposal method.  The recycling plant has to pay to have the trash hauled away!!
