F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service Here) is trying to track down any health equipment that was borrowed and is no longer needed. Their supplies are dwindling. The Sanibel Fire Department on Palm Ridge or Dan and Judy Davis on Lot #144 on 8E will be glad to accept any equipment you may discover that's not being used.
Parrots 101 - We have had a cold spell & the parrots were indoors from Monday through Wednesday. Sami as always was wonderful in helping to give them time outside on Wednesday & putting them back in for Wednesday night. Thursday we put them outside & cleaned all 20 cages. Claire was a great help as well. G.W. from Jerry's was a terrific bird letting me trim his toenails & clip his wings. Caesar from Jerry's was, as usual, a menace & extremely noisy. Miss Libby will be away on a cruise from January 7-17 so drop by & say hello to the parrots as there will be no show for 10 days.
On Tuesday 1-3-12 between 9am and 11am the water will be shut off on streets 5E, 6E & 6W. There is a water leak in this area and the maintenance staff will need to manipulate the valves to see where the problem is located. We ask that you please limit your water usage during these hours it would be much appreciated. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
This year's Mardi Gras is not being cancelled by the Park. The parade was always organized by the Park residents and the Park provided the picnic. In past years a committee was formed to work out all the parade details. A new committee will need to be formed and a chairperson or Co-Chairs will need to contact me to arrange for this event.
We intend to have the picnic on Fat Tuesday, February 21, 2012 even if a parade is not happening this year. Looking forward to meeting with the new committee as soon as possible.

------------------------------------------- Here's a link to the SCCF native plant nursery price list ~ great prices! SCCF is a great resource with many volunteers ready to assist residnets in native plants please also note that Sanibel City Hall is all native plants and they are all marked so you can walk around and see in person.
It is very important to use native plants for landscaping. These plants do very well in our climate and require very little to no watering!
Parrot 101 - Dusty Rose is again eating - in fact eating a lot. He spent
years on a pelleted diet to correct an overweight problem so I was surprised.......

Hello Periwinkle Park Residents & Guests, This is our FULL House season and we are just reminding EVERYONE - especially any guests that might be visiting that we are VERY Strict with our 7 1/2 MAXIMUM Speed. Please take it SLOW throughout the Park. Everywhere, including the back gate area at ALL times.
The management and staff really appreciate all of you that do crawl and stay in the slow lane~~~~ Thanks so much!
----------------------------------------------- Periwinkle Park Residents,
The Park is glad to see several of you upgrading of your units this season. Please take note that the Park cannot handle the disposal of large objects; refrigerators, carpeting or furniture. When purchasing these items, please make arrangements for the companies you are buying from to dispose of your old goods. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the office.
Thank you for your cooperation, Park Management & Staff
-------------------------------------------- Periwinkle Park Residents, We would like you all to be on the lookout for water leaks. Just this week one of our residents found standing water where the ground should not stay wet. We would very much appreciate your reporting anything suspicious to the office as water leaks are costly.
Thanks so much for your attention to this matter, Dick, Jerry, David, Jodi, Evelyn, Lori, Diana, Jay & Jimmy

ICE - 'In Case of Emergency'
We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.
If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call....<< MORE >>
Mark your calendars... Periwinkle Park's Mardis Gras Celebration is set for Tuesday March 8th. Be sure to check back here or the bulletin board for updates.
We welcome you all back to your small community
and hope that you all had a wonderful Summer.
As a community, we need to be mindful of our neighbors
and obey all the Park rules which are for the good of everybody. After the long FAST driving on the interstates, we forget what 7 1/2
feels like. It is VERY S L O W (just a crawl) and slowing down here is VERY important. Please pay attention and keep the speedometer way below 10, just over 5 and we will all be most appreciative. Slow down and enjoy your beautiful island.
Also, PLEASE note that the 7 1/2 MPH maximum speed limit is all the way from Nerita St. to Periwinkle Way and all park streets in between.
Thanks so much,
Periwinkle Park Management and Staff
Dick, Jerry, David, Jodi, Evelyn, Lori, Diana, Rene & Jay
